Those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ. (Romans 5:17)
Take a look at your life today. Are you a victor or a victim? Are you fearless or fearful? An overcomer or overcome? The above verse holds tremendous truth and insight into your position and place with Christ on this earth. And it's important to discuss it in light of God's plan for your life. Understanding the keys in this verse will change the way you look at life. It will give you a new outlook through which to look at life's challengers. It will build in you a sense of victory and dominion.
Reigning in life through Christ Jesus brings Him on the scene to empower you, to give you the ability to press on when life gets difficult, and to give you the ability to confront the powers of darkness and pull down strongholds. Reigning in life through and in Christ Jesus. That sounds like a position of victory.
Notice carefully the wording, "those who receive abundance of grace." Grace, the favor of God, actively released into your life. And, yes, there is an abundance! It is grace that sustains you as you journey through life in God's purpose. Now this, "the gift of righteousness." That is, the state of being right before God. The place where righteousness is credited toward you. A place where, because you are right with God, He will hear your prayers, stand beside you at all times, and be your shield and covering.
So, in summary, today, receive His grace and righteousness and face the day with courage and optimism. Remember, you can do all things in Christ...now let Him reign through you.
