God's Plan for Your Family

"Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth." (Genesis 1:28)

This entire month we have looked at God's plan for you individually. Now, today, we want to broaden our discussion of life should include not only you specifically but also what part you play in the fulfillment of the above verse.

If you are married and have a family, or if you are single, either way this day's thought applies. Here's how:

If you married and have a family - What is God's plan for the family? What is your role in "filling the earth?" Space does not allow us to fully develop this topic, yet we have some very simple suggestions. Go back through each day of this devotional and review lessons with a spouse or your children. Help each other discover their call and giftings. Help your kids learn about their uniqueness and place in God's future. Start here and you'll go a long way to discovering God's plan for the family.

If you are single - You're still a family - your extended family, brothers, sisters, or a future family God will yet bring you one day. Either way, God wants all of us to be connected to each other for the purpose of "being fruitful and filling the earth." God's plan includes individuals and families of people. Perhaps there is someone close you can review this month's lessons with as well.

Today, who are you going to "fill the earth" with? A husband, wife, kids? Discover and grow!
