Be a History Maker

Go therefor and make disciples of all the nations. (Matthew 28:19)

Touch a life and change history! As we come to the last day of this month's devotional on God's Plan for Me, take time to reflect back and take note of what we've tried to share with respect to His plan. We attempted very briefly to start with God's plan for you from the beginning of time and that plan coming into reality through the work of the redemption in Christ. We then discussed God's plan for your family, your occupation, and life in a local church. Lastly, today, we want to touch on the concept of your place in your community at this point in time and history.

God chose you to live in this year, not 200 or 400 years ago. And He did so for a reason. Each generation the Lord raises up has the potential to leave a legacy for the next generation. Yes, each generation shapes history for the next. In God's overall economy er don't know when He will return, but we know this: We are to be busy about our Master's work until He does return.

So today, this month, or this year, how can you influence and change history? Jesus said to go! "Go" is a part of God's name, minus the "d." Go make disciples, followers, other believers. Go be a Life Coach to another believer or a friend. In so doing, you may never know the full effect of that life in the years to come. Because you intercept a life an begin directing them to Christ instead of darkness, you and I have no idea of the potential pain and loss we will never incur because of the loss of Christ being experienced instead.

As we close this month's devotional our prayer is that you come to the full realization of God's plan and work in your life. Not only for you but for those around you as well. As you faithfully walk with God to the best of your ability, one day you will hear the words, "Well done, good and faithful servant...well done!" (Matthew 25:21)
