Set an example for other followers by what you say and do. (1 Timothy 4:12, CET)
But build one another up every day. (Hebrews 3:13)
Yesterday we looked at finding one lost sheep. The question today is, what do you do with that one after you find him or her. Answer? You become a coach, a healer, an encourager, and a teacher to that one. In other words, you now become an example to others.
Here's how it works. As you discover and begin walking in God's plan for you, you automatically become an example to others around you by your life. There are many around us who want to know of and learn God's plan. The problem is that most of the time they don't know where to go or start. This is where you come in.
You are an example to others whether you know it or not. The choice today for God's plan is to take someone else under your wing, so to speak, and live as an example of the Christian faith. You may not have all the training, knowledge, or answers from years of study, but you do have one thing and that is desire. You take the step of wanting to set an example to others. You automatically become a living epistle of Christ's love to them. A lot of times being a coach is not a theological discussion but sometimes a shoulder to cry on, a friend to listen to, a partner to pray with, and someone to share a burden with. Do you know someone today who could use a phone call or a word of encouragement? Then, yes, you can be a Life Coach in a small way, perhaps, sharing your life. Now, go do it!
